The project began with understanding Sinapis’ vision and the key messages they wanted to communicate. With this direction, we carefully planned the production process to ensure the story was told authentically and effectively. Our diverse and dynamic team spent several days on location, filming interviews with Joseph, Leah, and workers who had benefited from Jazza Centre’s programs. In addition to interviews, we captured real-life moments of training, home placements, and the daily activities of domestic workers to add depth to the story.

Jazza Centre’s story is an inspiring example of how entrepreneurial training can transform businesses and lives. Joseph and Leah’s vision, combined with Sinapis’ support, enabled them to build a business that not only provides qualified home management staff but also brings dignity and opportunity to domestic workers across Kenya. The videos captured this journey through the voices of the founders and the workers themselves, showing the true impact of Jazza Centre’s work.

Sinapis Kenya empowers entrepreneurs through training programs like the Sinapis Academy and Fast Track Accelerator, helping businesses grow and create lasting impact. One such business is 

, founded by Joseph and Leah, who attended the Sinapis Academy in 2018-2019. Jazza Centre provides professional domestic worker placement services across Kenya, improving lives by offering fair pay, training, and financial literacy programs.

Our role was to create impactful testimonial videos highlighting how Sinapis’ training transformed Jazza Centre into a thriving business that uplifts domestic workers, promotes financial independence, and creates opportunities for growth.

The project involved creating high-quality testimonial videos that told the story of Joseph and Leah’s journey, the success of Jazza Centre, and the life-changing impact on domestic workers. We worked on location over several days to record interviews with the founders, employees, and beneficiaries. The videos aimed to showcase not just the growth of the business but also the profound outcomes for the workers, including increased wages, improved financial literacy, and access to essential benefits like healthcare and savings programs.

The testimonial videos successfully communicated the story of Jazza Centre’s transformation and its impact on domestic workers in Kenya. Through these videos, we highlighted how the business grew from a struggling enterprise to a thriving company that uplifts workers by offering professional training, fair pay, and access to life-changing benefits. The videos shared stories of domestic workers buying land, building homes, and educating their families—tangible proof of the positive change brought by Jazza Centre’s business model.

We started by understanding the event's schedule and goals so we could plan our work. Our team of experienced filmmakers recorded the main sessions and speeches, as well as interviews with key delegates. Over the two days, we worked flexibly, ensuring we were always available to capture the most important moments.

After the event, we edited the footage into a clear and engaging documentary. We included the main ideas from the discussions, personal insights from the interviews, and the overall atmosphere of the forum. The project was completed within 14 days, including reviewing and making adjustments based on client feedback.

The African Fiscal Forum is a key event for finance leaders in Sub-Saharan Africa. It helps them work together to solve challenges like managing debt and supporting economic recovery. By documenting the forum, we helped share its story and show how leaders are working to create better financial systems in the region.

This project successfully captured the purpose and impact of the Seventh African Fiscal Forum. Our work helped the organizers share their message and show the importance of their efforts. The project also strengthened our reputation as a reliable partner for high-quality media production.

The Seventh African Fiscal Forum, held in Nairobi on 14-15 February, was organized by the IMF’s African and Fiscal Affairs Department, the Kenyan Treasury, and the European Commission. This annual forum brought together senior finance officials from across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) to discuss the region's pressing fiscal challenges and explore solutions to promote sustainable development.

Our role was to professionally document the event, including key discussions, delegate interviews, and outcomes, and to deliver a high-quality documentary summarizing the event's goals and achievements.

The project’s scope included end-to-end event documentation, covering the two-day forum’s sessions, interviews with key delegates, and the production of a comprehensive documentary. The documentary aimed to capture the forum’s objectives, the depth of its discussions, and the collaborative spirit of the attendees while ensuring timely delivery to the organizers.

We delivered a high-quality video that captured the main goals and outcomes of the African Fiscal Forum. The documentary showed the important work being done to solve financial problems in Sub-Saharan Africa and highlighted the collaboration between finance leaders. Our successful delivery and flexibility earned positive feedback from the IMF, Kenyan Treasury, and European Commission, leading to more opportunities to work with them in the future.

Our work with GIZ on the TUMI Challenge successfully captured the program’s impact and significance. The documentary served as a powerful storytelling tool, not only promoting the program’s success but also fostering a stronger partnership with GIZ. This case study demonstrates how impactful media production can amplify the reach and visibility of innovative initiatives like the TUMI Challenge, inspiring further investment and collaboration.

The TUMI Challenge, implemented by GIZ from 2018 to 2021, supported local innovation in mobility through two startup accelerators in Nairobi, Kenya. In collaboration with C4DLab of the University of Nairobi and the Africa Mobility Initiative, the program provided mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for 16 startups, connecting them to local and international investors.

VdeoPro was tasked with consolidating the program's achievements into a compelling documentary. Through interviews, on-site filming, and dynamic storytelling, we captured the essence of the project, highlighting its transformative impact on the startups and Kenya’s mobility landscape.

The TUMI Challenge in Nairobi aimed to transform the city’s mobility landscape by empowering local entrepreneurs with innovative solutions. Through coaching, mentorship, and investor connections, the program catalyzed the growth of 16 startups tackling transportation challenges.

Our documentary highlighted these startups’ journeys and the collaborative efforts of GIZ, C4DLab, and the Africa Mobility Initiative, showcasing the program as a model for fostering sustainable urban mobility in Africa.

We adopted a two-phase filming process to comprehensively capture the farm's operations:

Filming interviews with Endashata Farm’s management and staff to discuss their sustainable farming methods, the benefits of chia cultivation, and their export process.

Using professional cameras and audio equipment to ensure clarity and professionalism.

Filming the harvesting process in the fields, showcasing workers in action and the eco-friendly nature of the farm's practices.

The entire project spanned 4 months, with a pause between the filming sessions to align with the harvesting timeline. Post-production included video editing, sound design, and integrating subtitles to ensure accessibility for international audiences.

This project successfully showcased Endashata Farm’s sustainable farming practices and their role in promoting eco-friendly agriculture in Kenya. By delivering a high-quality video, we helped the farm position itself as a leader in the global chia seed market while advocating for environmental stewardship and community empowerment. The partnership demonstrates how storytelling through professional media production can amplify the impact of businesses committed to sustainability.

Endashata Farm is a pioneer in sustainable chia seed farming in Kenya, producing high-quality seeds for export without using chemical fertilizers. The farm promotes eco-friendly agricultural practices and supports local livelihoods. Chia seeds are a drought-resistant crop suited for Africa's semi-arid regions, with Kenya being a key player in their cultivation. Our role was to create a professional documentary highlighting Endashata Farm's sustainable practices, from the planting process to harvesting, while showcasing their commitment to eco-conscious farming and their role in Kenya’s agricultural landscape.

We began by identifying families living with children diagnosed with DMD in various regions of Kenya. Each visit involved capturing their day-to-day experiences through video interviews, candid footage, and conversations with caregivers.

Our team carefully edited these stories to emphasize the personal and emotional dimensions of living with DMD. These videos were distributed as part of awareness campaigns run by DMDFK Kenya and The Everett and Austin Project to educate the public and inspire advocacy.

The project required careful planning and coordination, including travel to various Kenyan regions, engagement with families, and sensitive storytelling techniques. Each video focused on one family, capturing their journey, struggles, and hopes.

Our project was a collaborative effort with The Everett and Austin Project, in support of DMDFK Kenya, to raise awareness about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a rare and severe genetic condition primarily affecting individuals assigned male at birth. Globally, fewer than 10 cases occur per 100,000 individuals assigned male at birth, and dystrophy disorders as a whole affect approximately 1 in 5,000 to 1 in 6,000 in this group. Despite its rarity, DMD has a profound impact on the lives of those diagnosed and their families, particularly in regions with limited resources for diagnosis, treatment, and support.

Our goal was to give a voice to the children and families affected by this condition in Kenya by documenting their unique stories. Over the course of the project, we visited families across the country and filmed 10 powerful and heartfelt stories. These stories highlighted the challenges faced by the children living with DMD, including physical, emotional, and economic struggles, while also showcasing the resilience and love of their families.

The videos we produced served as a medium to spread awareness about DMD, educate the public, and advocate for better support systems for affected families. By shedding light on these lived experiences, the project helped bridge the gap between awareness and action, ensuring that the voices of these children and their families were heard both locally and globally.

This initiative demonstrated the power of storytelling to inspire empathy, encourage support, and drive meaningful change for communities affected by rare conditions like Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Our aim was to share the lived experiences of affected children and their families, highlighting their struggles and resilience while advocating for better support systems.

DMD is a rare and progressive genetic condition, leading to muscle weakness and loss of mobility. The disorder disproportionately affects children in low-resource settings due to late diagnoses and minimal access to treatment. This project aimed to humanize the condition by showcasing 10 real-life stories, breaking the stigma around disabilities, and encouraging systemic change in healthcare and community support.

We partnered with The Everett and Austin Project to create 10 impactful videos showcasing the stories of Kenyan families affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

Due to the expansive nature of the assignment and the limited time frame, we embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. We deployed multiple teams working simultaneously to ensure efficiency. Our scripting and pre-production team worked closely with the communications teams, leveraging both online platforms and WhatsApp for quick updates and seamless coordination. Since the project took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, some meetings were held online, though we prioritized in-person meetings with participants who were harder to reach. 

Flexibility was key, and we ensured that our team was always available for filming. We maintained constant communication to keep all parties updated, ensuring that participants were comfortable throughout the process. Reviews were conducted both online and on location to ensure accuracy and quality. We adopted a friendly, collaborative approach, with a focus on quick responses and adaptability to meet the project's demands.

The program was a resounding success, achieving its goals of consolidating and promoting the efforts of various organizations through a comprehensive video production process. By leveraging teamwork, efficient communication, and adaptability, we were able to deliver high-quality content that not only highlighted each organization’s contributions but also elevated the visibility of the overall initiative. The collaboration fostered a strong, ongoing partnership, allowing us to continue supporting Ecotourism with video production for future events and programs.  was looking for a video consultant to showcase their SWITCH Africa Green program. The task was to create videos that would consolidate all their partner information and contribution of each partner to the program. The final goal as a video to showcase the successful project as a whole.

The scope of the project involved gathering and organizing all relevant details about the 

 program to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout the production. This included developing detailed scripts and an overall production strategy to guide the filming process, ensuring that all key elements were captured effectively. Close coordination with the Ecotourism team was essential for scheduling the filming, setting up interviews with key participants, and managing the project timeline. The footage was then edited into a comprehensive video that consolidated the major aspects of the project. Additionally, tailored videos were created for each participating organization to showcase their specific involvement, along with shorter promotional clips designed for social media to increase visibility and awareness of the project.

Ecotourism received a fully completed video, while each participating organization was provided with their own video tailored to their specific program. These videos were instrumental in promoting their efforts, strengthening their visibility. This successful collaboration fostered a new relationship, and we have since continued to support Ecotourism by producing videos for future events and programs.

The SWITCH Africa Green, developed by the European Union in 2013, targets four high-priority sectors: agriculture, manufacturing, integrated waste management and tourism.

: The production team worked closely with Oxfam, Kenya Land Alliance, and local leaders to ensure that the documentary accurately reflected the experiences and concerns of the Turkana people. Field interviews, community meetings, and firsthand accounts were integral to telling the story of FPIC and land rights struggles in a way that was both informative and compelling.

: Our approach was rooted in participatory storytelling, where communities became co-narrators of their journey toward land justice. By featuring community leaders, elders, and women, the documentary showcased diverse voices advocating for their land and resource rights.

: Given the sensitive nature of land rights and the political dynamics in Turkana, we prioritized ethical considerations throughout the production. All interviews and footage were obtained with informed consent, and participants were fully aware of the project's purpose and scope.

We are proud to have contributed to a project that supports the promotion of land justice and sustainable development in Turkana County. This documentary stands as a testament to the power of film to raise awareness, influence policy, and amplify marginalized voices. Our collaboration with Oxfam Kenya and Kenya Land Alliance underscores our commitment to producing content that drives positive change and aligns with global efforts toward sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Turkana County though resilient, is one of Kenya's most resource-rich but marginalized regions, has been at the center of oil exploration activities over the last decade. While the potential for economic development is significant, the local communities have faced a range of challenges. These include displacement, loss of ancestral lands, and lack of inclusion in decision-making processes.

To address these issues, Oxfam Kenya, in partnership with Kenya Land Alliance, implemented several initiatives centered on land justice and FPIC. FPIC is a vital concept ensuring that indigenous peoples and local communities give their consent before any project affecting their land, resources, or rights is approved. It represents a shift towards more equitable, sustainable development practices.

We were tasked with creating a documentary to capture the impact of these initiatives on the ground, focusing on raising awareness of the importance of land rights and ensuring that community voices were heard. The documentary aimed to humanize the legal and policy discussions surrounding land justice by highlighting real stories from Turkana communities affected by land deals and oil exploration.

Indeed we succeeded in shedding light on the critical issues surrounding land rights and FPIC in Turkana. It has been used as an educational tool by both Oxfam and Kenya Land Alliance to engage policymakers, civil society organizations, and local communities in conversations about the importance of respecting land rights and ensuring FPIC in future development projects.

Empowering Land Justice in Turkana with Oxfam

 Our team deployed multiple camera setups to capture the event from different angles. We used high-definition cameras to ensure the highest quality footage, capturing both wide shots of the venue and close-ups of speakers and participants. The use of handheld cameras allowed for dynamic shots that conveyed the energy and engagement of the discussions.

 We conducted on-site interviews with key participants, including government officials, representatives from international organizations, and civil society leaders. These interviews provided personal insights and expert opinions on the issues discussed, adding depth and context to the video.

 In addition to the formal sessions, our team captured behind-the-scenes moments, such as informal conversations, networking, and interactions among participants. These candid shots helped to humanize the event and showcase the collaborative spirit of the roundtable.

 High-quality audio recording was a priority, given the importance of capturing clear dialogue during speeches and interviews. We used lapel microphones for speakers and directional microphones to capture ambient sound, ensuring that the audio quality matched the high visual standards.

 The post-production phase involved carefully selecting and editing footage to create a cohesive narrative. We focused on highlighting the most impactful moments of the roundtable, including key speeches, compelling interviews, and significant discussions. Transitions were used to seamlessly connect different segments of the video.

 To enhance the video, we added graphic elements such as lower-thirds for speaker identification, event branding, and key statistics related to climate change and security. These visual aids helped to reinforce the messaging and make the content more accessible to viewers.

 We incorporated background music that complemented the tone of the video, adding emotional resonance without overshadowing the dialogue. Ambient sounds from the event were also integrated to maintain a sense of realism and immediacy.

 The initial cut of the video was shared with MSC for feedback. Based on their input, we made revisions to ensure that the final product met their expectations and effectively communicated the event's significance.

Through careful planning, expert execution, and thoughtful post-production, we were able to create a video that not only documented the event but also told a compelling story that will continue to engage and inform audiences.

VdeoPro worked to produce a powerful round-up highlighting the event in line with peace and security tenets enshrined within the context of African Union's Agenda 2063. 

The primary objective of the production was to document the event in a way that not only preserved the content of the discussions but also conveyed the importance and urgency of the topics addressed. The final video was intended to serve as a key communication tool for MSC, enabling them to share the outcomes of the roundtable with a broader audience, including policymakers, stakeholders, and the general public.

The final video was well-received by MSC and other stakeholders. It effectively captured the key themes and outcomes of the Human Security Roundtable, providing a powerful visual summary of the event. The video has since been used in various communications and outreach efforts, helping to amplify the discussions held at the roundtable and raising awareness about the critical intersection of climate change and security in Africa.
